First Holy Communion Notebook, Part IV: The Sacrament of Holy Communion

The promised second post for blogging day #6 to finish off Skipper's First Holy Communion notebook: The Sacrament of Holy Communion.

My Faith ~~~ Salvation History ~~~ The Sacrament of Reconciliation

Skipper's First Holy Communion was a gorgeous day, and he had the love and support of family and friends, even though none are practicing Catholics. I am so glad that the love for this boy brought them all together on this very special day!

All first communicants created personal banners. You can see Skipper's above. He was inspired by this young lady's banner.

As far as his notebook, we were running out of steam! But he had painted this monstrance craft at the beginning of the school year and used it in his notebook:

Copy work gearing up for the big day:

"Letter" to Jesus the day before Skipper's first communion:

I helped Skipper draw this page. I shrunk it down to make personal invitations, and then placed the original in his notebook:

I also wrote a letter to Skipper to place in his notebook, and at his party, I set out pens and notecards for family to write notes to him. His final page will be a special memory page with the notes and pictures. We just have to finish it!
